In regards to your question about my banner, the colors on the montage were slightly faded. Otherwise, they would have clashed and would be an assault on the eyes, especially since I used both colored and non-colored images. The bat, Zap, my mascot, is fully colored and rendered to indicate that he's leaning up against a wall.
